To inhibit a second spring from moving freely in an impact tool having the second spring.SOLUTION: An impact tool includes: a motor; a spindle which is rotated by a rotational force generated by the motor; a hammer which is supported by the spindle in such a manner so as to be movable in an anteroposterior direction and a rotation direction; an anvil which is hit in a rotation direction by the hammer; a first spring which constantly biases the hammer forward; a second spring which biases the hammer forward after the hammer moves to the rear relative to a reference position; a hammer case which houses the hammer, the first spring, and the second spring; and a free movement inhibition mechanism which inhibits the second spring from moving freely in an internal space of the hammer case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】第２ばねを有するインパクト工具において、第２ばねが自由に動くことを抑制すること。【解決手段】インパクト工具は、モータと、モータが発生する回転力により回転するスピンドルと、スピンドルに前後方向及び回転方向のそれぞれに移動可能に支持されるハンマと、ハンマにより回転方向に打撃されるアンビルと、ハンマを常時前方に付勢する第１ばねと、ハンマが基準位置よりも後方に移動した後にハンマを前方に付勢する第２ばねと、ハンマ、第１ばね、及び第２ばねのそれぞれを収容するハンマケースと、ハンマケースの内部空間において第２ばねの遊動を抑制する遊動抑制機構と、を備える。【選択図】図３
