Summary:To provide a socket for an electrical component which prevents an electrical component from being scratched and to prevent scraping dust from being generated when the electrical component is housed in the socket for the electrical component or when the electrical component is removed from the socket for the electrical component.SOLUTION: A socket 10 for an electrical component includes a socket body 20 having an accommodating portion 31 that accommodate an electrical component 11, a connecting portion 25 that is arranged in the socket body 20 and electrically connects a terminal of the electrical component 11 housed in the accommodating portion 31 and a wiring board, a lateral pressing portion 72 that presses the peripheral edge 11e of the electrical component 11 housed in the accommodating portion 31 to perform lateral positioning, and a vertical pressing portion 73 that presses the upper surface of the electrical component 11 positioned by the lateral pressing portion 72 vertically downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】電気部品用ソケットに電気部品を収容する際又は電気部品用ソケットから電気部品を取り出す際に、電気部品に傷が付いてしまうことを防止でき、削れゴミが発生することを防止できる電気部品用ソケットを提供する。【解決手段】電気部品11が収容される収容部31を有するソケット本体20と、ソケット本体20に配設され、収容部31に収容された電気部品11の端子と配線基板との間を電気的に接続する接続部25と、収容部31に収容された電気部品11の周縁11eを押圧して横方向の位置決めを行う横方向押圧部72と、横方向押圧部72で位置決めされた電気部品11の上面を垂直下方向に押圧する縦方向押圧部73と、を有する電気部品用ソケット10とした。【選択図】図7
