Summary:To reduce noises on images while suppressing a decrease of sharpness.SOLUTION: A noise-reduced image with reduced noises is generated from an input image. A high frequency emphasis image in which the high-frequency component of the input image is emphasized is generated. On each pixel of high-frequency emphasis image, a series of processing of limiting the pixel value to a range according to the brightness of a subject corresponding to the pixel is performed.
