Summary:To reduce size and weight while ensuring pressure-proof performance in a gas generator in which a plurality of gas jetting ports including gas jetting ports with different opening areas from each other are provided on a housing.SOLUTION: A gas generator 1A includes a housing configured by joining a plurality of shell members, and one of the plurality of the shell members has a cylindrical part 22 and a flange part 23. On the cylindrical part 22, a plurality of gas jetting ports 24a, 24b, and 24c including gas jetting ports having different opening areas are provided, and the flange part 23 is configured to have a shape in which distance from an axis line O of the cylindrical part 22 to outer edges of the flange part 23 is non-uniform.
