Summary:To provide a speed change gear which can achieve down-sizing without damaging speed change controllability.SOLUTION: A speed change gear 1 switches the rotational speed ratio between an input member 3 and an output member 4 by connecting a rotational member R provided between the input member 3 and the output member 4 to another component member 5 by an engagement mechanism B, or releasing the engagement mechanism B. The engagement mechanism B includes: a friction-type engagement element K which brings a first friction plate 6 attached to the rotational member R into contact with a second friction plate 7 provided to the other component member 5 or cancels the contact; and a mesh-type engagement element B1 which directly or indirectly meshes a first engagement tooth 23 provided to the rotational member R and a second engagement tooth 24 integrated with the other component member 5 in a rotational direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】変速制御性を損なうことなく小型化を可能にする変速装置を提供する。【解決手段】入力部材3と出力部材4との回転数比を、入力部材3と出力部材4との間に設けられている回転部材Rを他の構成部材5に対して係合機構Bによって連結し、また係合機構Bを解放することによって切り替える変速装置1において、係合機構Bは、回転部材Rに取り付けられた第1摩擦板6と他の構成部材5に設けられた第2摩擦板7とを接触させ、またその接触を解除する摩擦式係合要素Kと、回転部材Rに設けられた第1係合歯23と他の構成部材5に回転方向で一体化されている第2係合歯24とを直接もしくは間接的に噛み合わせる噛み合い式係合要素B1とによって構成されている。【選択図】図3
