Summary:To provide an adhesive composition capable of decreasing reduction in viscosity with time as can as possible.SOLUTION: There are provided: an adhesive composition comprising a component (A): a carboxymethyl cellulose or a salt thereof and a component (B): an anion-modified cellulose nanofiber, a method for producing the same; and a tail seal paste and a roll paper. The adhesive composition preferably further comprises a component (C): an acrylic polymer.
