To inhibit increase in communication traffic due to increase in an amount of content data in a system in which the content data is available in a plurality of games.SOLUTION: A server comprises: a content storage medium for storing content data on a content that is available in a plurality of types of games so that a first number of pieces of the content data is the upper limit; and a management information storage medium for storing validated period information on a right of utilization of an expanded function on the content data.
