Summary:To provide a display device with higher moisture permeation preventing performance, in which a component is disposed inside a display area.SOLUTION: A display device according to the present invention includes a first penetration hole 10H, an array of a plurality of pixels disposed in a display area surrounding the first penetration hole and separated from each other with the first penetration hole held therebetween, a first layer 240 disposed in an intermediate area between the first penetration hole and the display area and including a first hole or a recess, and a second layer 250 existing on the first layer and including a second hole overlapping with the first hole or the recess. The second layer includes a pair of chips further extending from an inner side surface of the first layer that defines the first hole or the recess to a center of the second hole. Each of the pixels includes a light-emitting diode including a pixel electrode 221, a counter electrode 223, and an intermediate layer 222 between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode.
