Summary: | To provide a runoff preventative device that can immediately prevent placed objects on a quay wall of a port from running off upon occurrence of a tidal wave.SOLUTION: A runoff preventative device 1 is provided with: an insertion pipe 54 inserted vertically movably into the inside space of a fixing pipe 52; a guard fence 2; a holding device 3; and a grip part 57 arranged on an upper end part of the insertion pipe 54, wherein a receiving pipe 12 of the guard fence 2 has a receiving pipe hole 12a passing through a pipe wall at its upper end part, the insertion pipe 54 has a first insertion pipe hole 55a arranged in its upper end part, and the holding device 3 has: an inserted member 44 holding the insertion pipe 54 at an insertion height position by being inserted into the receiving pipe hole 12a and the first insertion pipe hole 55a when the insertion pipe 54 is placed at the insertion height position; and a support part 42 attached on the receiving pipe 12 and supporting the inserted member 44 in a way the inserted member 44 is allowed to move between an insertion position where the inserted member 44 is inserted into the receiving pipe hole 12a and the first insertion pipe hole 55a and a withdrawal position where it withdraws from the receiving pipe hole 12a and the first insertion pipe hole 55a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
