Summary:To notify a driver at an appropriate timing that a vehicle is in a state where a switchover to an EV travel mode is not permitted .SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a condition determination section which determines satisfaction of a plurality of permission conditions set for permitting switchover to an EV travel mode to travel using power from a rotating electric machine with an engine stopped; a mode switch control section which controls a travel mode in a manner that permits a switchover to the EV travel mode according to a determination result by the condition determination section with respect to the satisfaction of the plurality of permission conditions; a notification control section which performs control in a manner that compares a time measurement value related to the permission condition for which the condition determination section determines dissatisfaction with a threshold and notifies a driver that a vehicle is in a state where the switchover to the EV travel mode is not permitted when the time measurement value exceeds the threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】EV走行モードへの切り換えが非許可状態であることを適切なタイミングで通知する。【解決手段】本発明に係る車両制御装置は、エンジンを停止した状態で回転電機からの動力を用いて走行するEV走行モードへ切り換えを許可するために設定された複数の許可条件について充足判定を行う条件判定部と、前記条件判定部により前記複数の許可条件について充足判定がされることに応じて、前記EV走行モードへの切り換え制御を行うモード切換制御部と、前記複数の許可条件のうちで、前記条件判定部による充足判定がされていない許可条件に関する時間計測値と閾値との比較を行い、前記時間計測値が前記閾値を超えることに応じて、前記EV走行モードへの切り換えが非許可状態であることを通知させる制御を行う通知制御部と、を備える。【選択図】図6
