To provide an extruder capable of improving the uniformity of the discharge amount of strands, and a method for manufacturing the strands.SOLUTION: An extruder 1 according to one embodiment comprises a screw 13 which rotates around a rotating shaft which extends in one direction, a cylindrical cylinder 12 which extends in one direction and houses the screw 13, a drive unit 10 which is arranged on one end side of the cylinder 12 and rotates the screw 13, a die 20 which is arranged on the other end side of the cylinder 12 and ejects raw materials 16 kneaded by rotation of the screw 13 as strands 18, an adjustment unit 30 which is arranged between the cylinder 12 and the die 20 and adjusts a flow velocity distribution of the raw materials 16 flowing into the die 20, a detection unit 40 which detects the discharge amount of the strands 18 discharged from the die 20, and a control unit 50 which performs feedback control of the flow velocity distribution based on the discharge amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ストランドの吐出量の均一性を向上させることができる押出機及びストランドの製造方法を提供することができる。【解決手段】一実施の形態に係る押出機１は、一方向に延びた回転軸を中心に回転するスクリュ１３と、スクリュ１３を収容する一方向に延びた筒状のシリンダ１２と、シリンダ１２の一端側に配置され、スクリュ１３を回転させる駆動部１０と、シリンダ１２の他端側に配置され、スクリュ１３の回転により混練された原料１６をストランド１８として吐出するダイス２０と、シリンダ１２とダイス２０との間に配置され、ダイス２０に流入する原料１６の流速分布を調整する調整部３０と、ダイス２０から吐出されたストランド１８の吐出量を検出する検出部４０と、吐出量に基づいて、流速分布をフィードバック制御する制御部５０と、を備える。【選択図】図１
