To provide a vehicle alarm device for issuing alarm in a higher alarm level only when a possibility to collide with an object is comparatively higher.SOLUTION: A vehicle alarm device determines whether a possibility of a collision between a vehicle and an alarm object exists based on a prediction course of the vehicle estimated based on a vehicle speed and a steering angle. When there is a possibility of a collision between a vehicle and an object, the vehicle alarm device calculates a collision distance being the distance of movement of the vehicle along a prediction course until the vehicle collides with the alarm object or until the vehicle moves to be closest to the alarm object. The device issues first alarm when a higher level alarm condition that a collision distance is equal to or less than a threshold collision distance is not satisfied, and issues second alarm to call attention of a driver in a level higher than that of the first alarm when the higher level alarm condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】物体と衝突する可能性が比較的高い場合にのみ、警報レベルの高い警報を行う車両警報装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両警報装置は、車速及び操舵角に基いて推定された車両の予測進路に基いて、車両が警報物体と衝突する可能性があるか否かを判定する。車両と物体とが衝突する可能性がある場合、車両警報装置は、車両が警報物体と衝突するまで又は車両が警報物体に最接近するまでに車両が予測進路に沿って移動する距離である衝突距離を計算し、衝突距離が閾値衝突距離以下であるとの高レベル警報条件を満たさない場合、第１警報を行い、高レベル警報条件を満たす場合、第１警報よりも運転者の注意を喚起する警報レベルの高い第２警報を行う。【選択図】図７
