Summary: | To provide a hollow cylindrical body having an improved strength in an axial direction.SOLUTION: A hollow cylindrical body 10 of an embodiment is obtained by deforming a hollow cylindrical precursor which comprises: intersection parts 22 around which a metal wire material 20 is spirally wound in multiple layers and on which the metal wire materials forming neighboring wire material layers are fixedly in contact with each other in a radial direction; and non-intersection parts 23 which are provided between two intersection parts arranged neighboring each other and separated along a longitudinal direction of the metal wire material. At least some of non-intersection parts in the hollow cylindrical body lie in the wire material layer different from that of the intersection parts which are provided on both adjacent sides of the non-intersection part in the longitudinal direction and are deformed so as to form an axial contact part 24 which is in contact, in an axial direction, with a metal wire material belonging to a wire material layer different from the wire material layer to which the non-intersection part belongs. 【課題】軸方向の強度を向上させた中空筒状体を提供する。【解決手段】本実施態様に係る中空筒状体10は、金属線材20が螺旋状、且つ多層状に巻き付けられており、隣接する線材層を構成する金属線材同士が径方向に固定的に接触した交差部22と、金属線材の長手方向に沿って隣接して離間配置された2つの交差部間に位置する非交差部23とが形成された中空筒状の前駆体を変形させて得られる。中空筒状体中の少なくとも一部の非交差部は、該非交差部の長手方向の両隣に位置する交差部とは異なる線材層に進入しており、該非交差部が属する線材層とは異なる線材層に属する金属線材と軸方向に接触した軸方向接触部24を形成するように変形されている。軸方向接触部を形成することにより、軸方向の強度を向上させることができる。【選択図】図2 |
