To provide a growth monitoring system capable of determining a growth state of field crops by a relatively simple processing.SOLUTION: A growth monitoring system 1 for monitoring a growth state of field crops 100 being cultivated in a farm field 2 is provided with: at least one reference sign 20 which is installed on the farm field 2 along leaf parts of the field crops 100, and provided with an index 24 for measuring a growth amount of the leaf parts; a camera 3 which acquires an image including the field crops 100 and the index 24 of the reference sign 20; and a PC 5 for information processing which measures a growth amount of the field crops 100 on the basis of an image acquired by the camera 3, generates growth information showing the growth state on the basis of the obtained measured value, and outputs the information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】比較的簡素な処理で農作物の成長状態を判別することが可能な成長監視システムを提供する。【解決手段】圃場２にて栽培中の農作物１００の成長状態を監視するための成長監視システム１において、農作物１００の葉部に沿うようにして圃場２に設置され、葉部の成長量を計測するための指標２４が設けられた少なくとも一つの基準標識２０と、農作物１００及び基準標識２０の指標２４を含んだ画像を取得するカメラ３と、カメラ３が取得した画像に基づいて農作物１００の成長量を計測し、得られた計測値に基づいて成長状態を示す成長情報を生成し、出力する情報処理用のＰＣ５とを設ける。【選択図】図１
