Summary:To provide a sanitary facility member that has superior dirt easy-to-remove properties and persistence thereof.SOLUTION: A sanitary facility member includes a base material including metal elements in its surface, a metal oxide layer formed on the base material, and an organic layer provided on the metal oxide layer. The metal elements are one kind or more selected from the group consisting of Cr, Zr and Ti, and the organic layer is present on a surface of the sanitary facility member. The sanitary facility member has the metal element M, a phosphorous atom P, an oxygen atom O, and a carbon atom C detected when its surface is measured by X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy XPS, and also has fragments, represented by general formula R-X, detected when measured by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (where R is a group having an atom other than carbon at one to two positions in a hydrocarbon group or hydrocarbon group, and X is one kind of a phosphonic acid group, a phosphate group, and a phosphinic acid group). The sanitary facility member has water scale removed in a test on water scale dirt removal after hot-water dipping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】汚れの易除去性およびその持続性に優れた衛生設備部材の提供。【解決手段】表面が金属元素を含む基材と、基材上に形成された金属酸化物層と、金属酸化物層上に設けられた有機層とを含む衛生設備部材であり、金属元素は、Cr、Zr、及びTiからなる群より選ばれる1種以上であり、有機層は前記衛生設備部材の表面に存在するものであり、衛生設備部材は、その表面を、X線光電分光法XPSによって測定したときに、前記金属元素Mと、リン原子Pと、酸素原子Oと、炭素原子Cが検出され、かつ、飛行時間型二次イオン質量分析法によって測定したときに、一般式R-X(Rは炭化水素基または炭化水素基内の1ないし2個所に炭素以外の原子を有する基で、Xはホスホン酸基、リン酸基、及びホスフィン酸基からなる1種)で表されるフラグメントが検出され、衛生設備部材は、温水浸漬後、水垢汚れの除去性試験で水垢が除去されるものである。【選択図】図1
