The vehicle control device 300 calculates and stores slip limit values at a plurality of positions on the traveling path, calculates at least one of maximum acceleration and maximum deceleration of the dump truck 100 which allows the wheels to maintain a grip state on a road surface by reading the slip limit values, and sets a target travel speed at a travel position from the dump truck 100 to a target position depending on at least one of a target speed at the target position, the maximum acceleration, and the maximum deceleration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
