To provide a wet medium pulverization method accelerating the pulverization of a material to be pulverized by preventing deterioration of a pulverizing power resulting from temperature rise in a pulverization chamber.SOLUTION: A wet medium pulverization method includes: agitating in a pulverization chamber 3, a mixture 13 of slurry of a material to be pulverized including a liquefied inactive gas such as liquid nitrogen 20 as a dispersant, and pulverization media such as balls or beads; pulverizing, crushing and/or dispersing the material to be pulverized by the above media. The method is characterized by feeding the liquefied inactive gas to the pulverization chamber 3 to lower temperature of the dispersant during agitation of the mixture 13, so as to maintain viscosity of the dispersant at a level which allows the media to pulverize, crush and/or disperse the material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】粉砕室の温度上昇に起因する粉砕力の低下を防止することにより、被粉砕材料の粉砕を促進する、湿式媒体粉砕方法を提供する。【解決手段】液体窒素２０等の液化不活性ガスを分散媒とする被粉砕材料の懸濁液とボールやビーズ等の粉砕媒体との混合物１３を粉砕室３で撹拌し、前記粉砕媒体によって前記被粉砕材料を粉砕し、解砕し、及び／又は分散させる、湿式媒体粉砕方法において、前記混合物１３の撹拌中に、前記分散媒の温度を低下させるように、前記粉砕室３に液化不活性ガスを供給し、前記分散媒の粘度を、前記粉砕媒体が前記被粉砕材料を粉砕し、解砕し、及び／又は分散させる粘度に保つことを特徴とする、湿式媒体粉砕方法である。【選択図】図２
