Summary:To provide food or beverage can coating compositions which have no adverse effect on the flavor of a packaged food or beverage product, have excellent adhesion to a substrate, and resist degradation over long periods of time even when exposed to harsh environments.SOLUTION: A thermoset coating composition comprises a polyether polymer of at least 10 wt.% based on the total resin solid content in the coating composition. The polyether polymer has a glass transition temperature of at least 60°C before cured, and a number average molecular weight of at least 2000, does not include any structural units derived from dihydric phenol having estrogen agonist activity greater than or equal to that of 4,4'-(propane-2,2-diyl)bis(2,6-dibromophenol) according to the MCF-7 assay, and is formed by reacting components including a diepoxide compound and an extender.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】パッケージ化された食品又は飲料製品の風味に悪影響を及ぼさず、基材に対して優れた接着性を有し、過酷な環境にさらされる場合でも長期間にわたって劣化に耐える食品用又は飲料用缶用コーティング組成物を提供する。【解決手段】硬化前のガラス転移温度が60℃以上、数平均分子量が2000以上であり、MCF−7アッセイで、4,4'−(プロパン−2,2−ジイル)ビス(2,6−ジブロモフェノール)が有する以上のエストロゲンアゴニスト活性を有する二価フェノールから誘導されるいかなる構造単位を含んでおらず、エキステンダーとジエポキシド化合物とを含む成分を反応させることによって形成されるポリエーテルポリマーを、コーティング組成物中の総樹脂固形分を基準にして10重量%以上含む熱硬化性コーティング組成物である。【選択図】なし
