To provide a water closet capable of enhancing discharge efficiency of a dirt, by efficiently agitating wash water including the dirt.SOLUTION: A water closet 1 of the present invention comprises: a bowl part 12 having a dirt receiving surface 20; a rim part 18 formed on the upper edge of this bowl part and forming a water communication passage 26 on the inside; one rim water discharge port 28 for forming a swirling flow of swirling on the dirt receiving surface by discharging the wash water forward; and a drain trap pipeline 14 for discharging the dirt. The dirt receiving surface of the bowl part comprises: an upper dirt receiving surface 20; and a recessed part 22 formed between this upper dirt receiving surface and the drain trap pipeline, and in the upper dirt receiving surface, its both side areas C and D are formed of a convex surface along the lateral direction, and its front area A and a rear area B are formed of a convex surface or a concave surface with a smaller curvature than those of both side areas along the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】汚物を含む洗浄水を効率的に攪拌して汚物の排出効率を高めることができる水洗大便器を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の水洗大便器１は、汚物受け面２０を備えたボウル部１２と、このボウル部の上縁に形成され内部にリム通水路２６が形成されたリム部１８と、洗浄水を前方に吐水し、汚物受け面上を旋回する旋回流を形成する１つのリム吐水口２８と、汚物を排出する排水トラップ管路１４と、を有し、ボウル部の汚物受け面は、上方汚物受け面２０と、この上方汚物受け面と排水トラップ管路との間に形成された凹部２２と、を備え、上方汚物受け面は、その両側方領域Ｃ，Ｄが横方向に沿って凸面により形成され、その前方領域Ａと後方領域Ｂが前後方向に沿って両側方領域より小さな曲率の凸面又は凹面により形成されている。【選択図】図２
