To provide a battery-type hair dryer that has a configuration in which the degree of freedom of a use place is high because a secondary battery is adopted, can lessen stress on a user because an operable time is displayed, and can adjust the operable time according to setting by the user, whereby the battery-type hair dryer has excellent handleability, compared to conventional types.SOLUTION: A battery-type hair dryer 1 includes: a body part 2; a heater 4 incorporated in the body part 2; a fan 5 and a motor 6 for suctioning air from a suction port 2a1 and sending the air from a blowout port 2b1 via the heater 4; an input unit 11 and a display unit 12; a control circuit 7; and a secondary battery 8 for supplying power.
