Summary:To provide a case material which can inhibit fluctuations of a resonance frequency caused by linear thermal expansion etc. when a resin is used in a case, and to provide a resonator etc. which enables selection of a molding method of the case.SOLUTION: A resonator includes: a resonance rod having a cylindrical outer shape; a case having the resonance rod installed on a bottom surface and a cylindrical side surface formed around the resonance rod; and a cover which covers an upper surface of the case. The case is formed of a resin having a metallic film on the bottom surface and the side surface. The bottom surface and a surface facing the resonance rod of the cover are formed of a metal. A first linear expansion coefficient, a linear expansion coefficient in a direction parallel to the bottom surface of the case, is different from a second linear expansion coefficient, a linear expansion coefficient in a direction perpendicular to the bottom surface of the case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ケースに樹脂を用いた場合において線熱膨張等による共振周波数の変動を抑え得るケース材料及びケースの成型方法の選択が可能である共振器等の提供。【解決手段】共振器は、外形が円筒形の共振棒と、底面に前記共振棒が設置され前記共振棒の周囲に円筒形の側面を有するケースと、前記ケースの上面を覆うカバーとを備え、前記ケースは前記底面及び前記側面に金属皮膜を有する樹脂で形成されており、前記カバーの前記底面及び前記共振棒に対向する面は金属により構成され、前記ケースの前記底面に平行な方向の線膨張係数である第一線膨張係数と、前記ケースの前記底面に垂直な方向の線膨張係数である第二線膨張係数とが異なる。【選択図】 図3
