To provide a portable information device configured to improve appearance quality and visibility of a display.SOLUTION: A portable information device 10 includes: a first housing member 12A; a second housing member 12B connected so as to be relatively rotatable with respect to the first housing member 12A; a first support plate 18A fixed to the first housing member 12A; a second support plate 18B fixed to the second housing member 12A and arranged adjacent to the first support plate 18A; a display 16 having a rear face 16a supported with front faces 18Ab, 18Bb of the first support plate 18A and the second support plate 18B; and an adhesive member 26 which fixes the front faces 18Ab, 18Bb of the first support plate 18A and the second support plate 18A with the rear face 16a of the display 16.
