To improve convenience of an imaging device having a function of continuously focusing a subject.SOLUTION: Each time performing focus processing, it is determined whether a subject is a stationary subject which remains stationary in an optical axis direction or a moving subject which moves in the optical axis direction on the basis of the amount of lens driving calculated based on a detection result detected by a focus detection unit.
