To provide an impeller capable of enlarging an operable rotation speed region by reducing stress by a more simple constitution, and a centrifugal compressor.SOLUTION: An impeller includes a disc rotatable about an axis and having an outer peripheral surface extended toward a radial outer side, toward an axial one side, a plurality of blades disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the disc at intervals in a circumferential direction, and a cover disposed in opposition to the outer peripheral surface of the disc in a manner of covering the plurality of blades.
