To provide a water level gauge which has a float part allowed to be smoothly moved in a vertical direction.SOLUTION: A water level gauge 2 comprises: a body 3 which is fixed to a farm field 1; and a float part 8 which is engaged with the body 3 so as to be freely slidable in a vertical direction and floats on water in the farm field 1. The body 3 receives movement in the vertical direction of the float part 8 due to fluctuations in water level of the farm field 1 to detect a water level in the farm field 1.
