To realize a device and a method which can remove a foreign matter in a container better than the prior art.SOLUTION: An air rinse device (1), which can clean a container (B) with a mouth while transporting the same, comprises: a container holding part (3) which can hold the container (B) while locating the mouth on a lower side; a container transport part (2) which can transport the container (B) held by the container holding part (3); and a nozzle (4) which can eject a gas over a prescribed time into the container (B) transported by the container transport part (2). This device controls a positional relationship between the container (B) and the nozzle so that an inclination angle between a shaft center of the container (B), which connects a center of the mouth and a center on a bottom side of the container (B), and an extension line of the nozzle exceeds 0° in at least a part of the prescribed time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】従来技術より良好に容器内の異物を除去できる装置および方法を実現する。【解決手段】本発明に係るエアリンス装置（１）は、口部を有する容器（Ｂ）を、搬送しながら洗浄可能なエアリンス装置（１）であって、容器（Ｂ）を、口部を下側に配置して保持可能な容器保持部（３）と、容器保持部（３）に保持された容器（Ｂ）を搬送可能な容器搬送部（２）と、容器搬送部（２）によって搬送される容器（Ｂ）の内部に、所定の時間にわたって気体を射出可能なノズル（４）と、を備え、所定の時間の少なくとも一部の時間において、口部の中心と容器（Ｂ）の底側の中心とを結ぶ容器（Ｂ）の軸心と、ノズルの延長線と、がなす角である傾斜角が０°を超えるように、容器（Ｂ）とノズルとの位置関係を制御することを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
