To provide a switch device and a vending machine equipped with the switch device that allow highly flexible layout design.SOLUTION: A switch device enabling highly flexible layout design is realized in a vending machine. Therefore, the switch device has such a configuration that a commodity display unit 20 serving as an article display unit at which a commodity sample 15, which is a display article, is placed is mounted on a back panel 12 with a high freedom for layout.
