To prevent an image printed on a transferred body from being specified from a transfer sheet after a protective layer has been transferred onto the transferred body.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer system for transferring a protective layer onto a printed transferred body using a transfer sheet having a support layer and a protective layer, includes: a delivery part for delivering the transfer sheet; a transfer device that is arranged on the downstream side of the delivery part, and has a first heating body for heating the transfer sheet from the support layer side and transferring the protective layer onto the transferred body; a winding part that is arranged on the downstream side of the transfer device and winds the transferred transfer sheet; and a heating device that is provided in the vicinity of the winding part and has a second heating body for heating and pressing the transfer sheet transferred with the protective layer from the support layer side.
