Summary:To provide a methane fermentation method capable of stably carrying out methane fermentation of poultry manure using a simple facility, and a production method of a poultry manure fertilizer, capable of producing a poultry manure fertilizer at a low cost from a methane fermentation residue produced by the methane fermentation method, using a simple production process and a simple production facility.SOLUTION: Provided is a method of carrying out methane fermentation of poultry manure by feeding a poultry manure raw material into a horizontal methane fermentation tank 20 from one horizontal end thereof, carrying out methane fermentation of the poultry manure raw material fed thereinto while moving the poultry manure raw material in the horizontal direction in the horizontal methane fermentation tank 20, and discharging a methane fermentation residue from the other horizontal end of the horizontal methane fermentation tank 20, in which the feeding interval and the amount of the poultry manure raw material being fed into the horizontal methane fermentation tank 20 are controlled so as to maintain the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the horizontal fermentation tank 20 at a prescribed value (11000 mg/kg) or lower. The solid poultry manure fertilizer is produced by drying the methane fermentation residue produced by the methane fermentation of poultry manure raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】簡単な設備で鶏糞のメタン発酵を安定的に行うことができるメタン発酵方法とこのメタン発酵方法において生成されるメタン発酵残渣から鶏糞肥料を簡単な製造プロセスと製造設備によって低コストで製造することができる鶏糞肥料の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】横型メタン発酵槽20の横方向一端から鶏糞原料を投入し、投入した鶏糞原料を横型メタン発酵槽20の内部で横方向に移動させながら該鶏糞原料をメタン発酵させ、メタン発酵残渣を横型メタン発酵槽20の横方向他端から排出する鶏糞のメタン発酵方法において、前記横型メタン発酵槽20内のアンモニア性窒素濃度が所定値(11,000mg/kg)以下となるように鶏糞原料の横型メタン発酵槽20への投入間隔と投入量を調整する。また、鶏糞原料のメタン発酵によって生成されるメタン発酵残渣を乾燥させて固形の鶏糞肥料を製造する。【選択図】図1
