To provide a breather device capable of discharging air even when pressure inside a case is low.SOLUTION: A breather device 50 for vertically communicating the inner part with the outer part of a discharge pipe 44 includes: a piston 56 formed with an insertion hole 56c extending in a vertical direction; a stopper 54 inserted into the insertion hole 56c; and a spherical body 60 arranged in a first space M in the insertion hole 56c, partitioned by the stopper 54, and blocking a communication hole 56f disposed at a lower side in the vertical direction of the piston 56. The blockage of the communication hole 56f is released due to that the spherical body 60 moves upward in the first space M when pressure P inside the discharge pipe 44 exceeds a first pressure value Pos1.
