To provide a vehicle side airbag device configured for the far-side air bag as an improvement target, and capable of suppressing rotation, and of supporting the bag surface, as well as, of appropriately receiving an occupant moving to the center of the vehicle and securing sufficient occupant protection performance.SOLUTION: A vehicle side airbag device 1 comprises: a side airbag 2 in a housed form, in which a mounting base 2a is fixed to a seat back 3a side via an inflator 7 at a vehicle center side 5 remote from a door, the side airbag passing from the mounting base through a side of a seat, so as to be deployed and expanded toward the front of the vehicle; a bend-deformable member 9 that has a long plate shape along a vertical height direction of the seat, with a lower part 9a fixed to the seat back side as a fixed end, an upper part 9b arranged above the mounting base as a free end, and a plate surface 9c bend-deformable in a width direction of the seat by force F applied in a vehicle width direction; and a connecting structure 10 for connecting the side airbag deployed and expanded from the housed form, and the upper part of the bend-deformable member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ファーサイドエアバッグを対象として、回転の抑制とバッグ面の支持が可能であって、車両中央側へ移動する乗員を適切に受け止めて十分な乗員保護性能を確保することができる車両用サイドエアバッグ装置を提供する。【解決手段】ドアから遠隔な車両中央側５で、インフレータ７を介して、取付基部２ａがシートバック３ａ側に固定されて設置される収納形態のサイドエアバッグ２が、取付基部からシートの側方を通って車両前方へ向かって展開膨張される車両用サイドエアバッグ装置１であって、シートの上下高さ方向に沿って長い板状であって、下部９ａがシートバック側に固定されて固定端とされ、上部９ｂが取付基部上方で自由端とされ、車両幅方向に作用する力Ｆによって板面９ｃがシートの幅方向へ向けて曲げ変形可能な曲げ変形部材９と、収納形態から展開膨張されるサイドエアバッグと曲げ変形部材の上部とを連結する連結構造１０とを備えた。【選択図】図２
