To provide an information display unit capable of suppressing a display region of guide information from being narrowed more than necessary in a configuration having a display section on which guide information is displayed.SOLUTION: An information display unit 20 includes a display section 52, a learning section 54 and a display control section 56. The display section 52 makes a forward state of a vehicle 10 visible and guide information G displayable. The learning section 54 learns an object T made visible in the display section 52 by dividing into a first target T1 requiring visibility regardless of setting conditions, a second target T2 requiring visibility in setting conditions and a third target T3 not requiring visibility. The display control section 56 prohibits display of the guide information G in a prohibition area B2 including the first target T1 and permits display of the guide information G in a permission area B3 including the third target T3, and further in an avoidance area B2 including the second target T2, prohibits display of the guide information G when the setting conditions are satisfied and permits display of the guide information G when the setting conditions are not satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】案内情報が表示される表示部を有する構成において、案内情報の表示領域が必要以上に狭められることを抑制することができる情報表示装置を得る。【解決手段】情報表示装置２０は、表示部５２と、学習部５４と、表示制御部５６とを有する。表示部５２は、車両１０の前方状況が視認可能とされ且つ案内情報Ｇが表示可能とされる。学習部５４は、表示部５２において視認される対象Ｔを、設定条件に拘らず視認が必要な第１対象Ｔ１と、設定条件において視認が必要となる第２対象Ｔ２と、視認が不要な第３対象Ｔ３とに分けて学習する。表示制御部５６は、第１対象Ｔ１を含む禁止領域Ｂ１では案内情報Ｇの表示を禁止し、第３対象Ｔ３を含む許可領域Ｂ３では案内情報Ｇの表示を許可する。さらに、第２対象Ｔ２を含む回避領域Ｂ２では、設定条件が成立する場合には案内情報Ｇの表示を禁止し、設定条件が成立しない場合には案内情報Ｇの表示を許可する。【選択図】図３
