Summary: | To provide a method for manufacturing a polarization film capable of reducing waste of a polarization film caused by splicing processing performed on a protective film.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a polarization film, protective films F2a and F2b to be bonded to both sides of a polarizer F1 are respectively conveyed from a feed-out position at which each of them are wound about a delivery roller 60 to a bonding position, and splicing processing is performed by a splicing processing device 40. The method for manufacturing a polarization film includes: a remaining length calculating step for calculating a remaining length of the protective film wound about a delivery roller by remaining length calculating means 20; and a splicing processing step for executing splicing processing on the protective film by controlling an execution timing by control means 30 so that misalignment L of splice sections Sa and Sb of the protective film at a bonding position falls within a predetermined range when at least one of the remaining length of the protective film becomes equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】保護フィルムに対して実行するスプライス処理に起因して生じる偏光フィルムの無駄を低減することが可能な偏光フィルムの製造方法等を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、偏光子F1の両面に貼り合わせられる保護フィルムF2a、F2bが、それぞれ繰出ローラ60に巻き付けられた繰り出し位置から貼り合わせ位置まで搬送されると共に、それぞれスプライス処理装置40でスプライス処理が実行されるものである。本発明は、繰出ローラに巻き付けられた保護フィルムの残長を残長算出手段20でそれぞれ算出する残長算出工程と、保護フィルムの残長のうち少なくとも何れか一方が所定のしきい値以下となった時点で、貼り合わせ位置における保護フィルムのスプライス部Sa、Sbの位置ずれLが所定範囲内に収まるように実行タイミングを制御手段30で制御して、保護フィルムに対するスプライス処理を実行するスプライス処理工程と、を含む。【選択図】 図1 |
