Summary: | To solve the problem in which: in improving the performance to cool a projector, the size of cooling means is increased and the size of the projector is increased.SOLUTION: An aspect of a projector of the present invention is a projector including an object of cooling, and comprises: a light source device that emits light; a light modulator that modulates the light from the light source device according to an image signal; a projection optical device that projects the light modulated by the light modulator; and a cooling device that cools the object of cooling with a change of coolant to gas. The cooling device has a coolant generation unit that generates coolant, a coolant transmission unit that transmits the generated coolant toward the object of cooling, and a cooling air blowing device that sends air to the object of cooling. The object of cooling has an object of cooling main body part and a part to be cooled that is thermally connected to the object of cooling main body and to which the coolant is transmitted from the coolant transmission unit. In the direction of flow of the air sent from the cooling air blowing device to the object of cooling, the part to be cooled is arranged on the downstream side of the object of cooling main body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
