Summary: | To provide a method for selecting a polyester film used as a sealant layer, which can obtain a laminate capable of achieving both excellent filling suitability and strength as a packaging material even when the packaging material is mainly composed of the polyester film.SOLUTION: A polyester film is used as a sealant layer in a laminate comprising a base layer 1 containing a crystalline polyester film, an adhesive layer 2 and a sealant layer 3 in this order. A method for selecting a polyester film includes the steps of: subjecting a polyester film to an FT-IR analysis by a reflection method to measure a crystallinity of the polyester film from the following formula; and selecting a first polyester film having a crystallinity of 2 to 15%.
