To provide a display device displaying characters, figures and the like having clear contours and excellent appearance.SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a light guide plate 3 reflecting light incident from an incident end surface 3c via a prism 4 installed on a reflection surface 3a and emitting the light from an emission surface 3b facing the reflection surface to each other; and a light source 2 making the light incident to the incident end surface of the light guide plate.
