To provide a male screw member which can be used as a tapping screw, also can be used as a screw-in bolt while removing foreign matters attached to a female screw, can suppress a rise of screw-in torque, can suppress a generation amount of chips, and can prevent bite-in by surely removing and smoothly discharging the foreign matters when using the male screw member to the female screw which is attached with the foreign matters.SOLUTION: A protrusion 4 protruding to the outside in a radial direction from a top of a screw thread 5 is formed at one portion of the screw thread 5 which is formed over a parallel screw part 31 from a tapered screw part 32, and an end face 4d at a side in a screw-in side direction of the protrusion 4 is gradually erected toward a top 4a of the protrusion from a root position of the screw thread of the end face at the top side of the screw thread in a direction opposite to a screw-in direction of the screw thread, and formed as an inclination face reaching the top 4a of the protrusion 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】タッピンねじとして使用でき、かつ、めねじに付着した異物を除去しながらねじ込むボルトとしても使用可能で、ねじ込みトルクの上昇を抑制することができると共に、切粉の発生量も抑制することができ、さらに、異物が付着しためねじに使用する場合には、異物を確実に除去するとともにスムースに排出して噛みこみを防止できるおねじ部材を提供する。【解決手段】テーパねじ部３２から平行ねじ部３１にかかるねじ山５の一部分に、ねじ山５の頂部よりも径方向外方に突出する凸部４を設け、前記凸部４のねじ込み側方向側の端面４ｄが、端面の前記ねじ山の頂部側の付け根位置から前記凸部の頂部４ａに向けて、前記ねじ山のねじ込み方向と反対方向に徐々に立ち上がって前記凸部４の頂部４ａに至る傾斜面となっていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
