To provide a work machine capable of preventing load swinging of a crane in an emergency.SOLUTION: In a work machine, a revolving body is arranged to be revolved with respect to a base body. The work machine includes a drive control unit for controlling revolving operation of the revolving body, and detection means for detecting an obstacle existing around the revolving body. The drive control unit does not start the revolving of the revolving body when the obstacle is detected by the detection means during stop of the revolving of the revolving body, and maintains the revolving of the revolving body for at least a predetermined period when the obstacle is detected by the detection means during the revolving of the revolving body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】緊急時のクレーンの荷振れを防止することが可能な作業機械を提供する。【解決手段】作業機械は、基体に対して旋回体が旋回可能に配置されたものである。作業機械は、前記旋回体の旋回動作を制御する駆動制御部と、前記旋回体の周囲に存在する障害物を検知する検知手段と、を有する。前記駆動制御部は、前記旋回体の前記旋回の停止中に前記検知手段によって前記障害物が検知された場合、前記旋回体の旋回を開始させず、かつ前記旋回体の前記旋回中に前記検知手段によって前記障害物が検知された場合、前記旋回体の旋回を少なくとも所定期間維持させる。【選択図】図３
