To provide a film inspection device for containers that can accurately detect defective parts of a film regardless of a design, even when the packaging film attached to a container surface is highly transparent.SOLUTION: A packaging film inspection device for a transparent container (1) detects defective parts by temperature difference between a normal part and a defective part of a packaging film (3) attached to the surface of the transparent container. The packaging film inspection device includes: placement means (4) for placing the container (1) at a measuring position; temperature change means (5) for causing a temperature change in the packaging film; and imaging means (6) for taking an image of the surface of the packaging film whose temperature has been changed by the temperature change means (5).
