Summary:To prevent swelling of the column of cells.SOLUTION: A battery pack 10 includes a holding member 26 placed between adjoining cells and having a spring holding part, and a pair of tension plates 32 crossed over a pair of facing end faces 28c, 28d, 30c, 30d of a first end plate 28 and a second end plate 30 while being pulled. The holding member 26 has parts 26g protruding from the cell. Each protruding part 26g has a groove 26g1 to be fitted with the edges 32a on both sides of the pair of tension plates 32.
