Summary:To provide a method for producing a cement composition, capable of producing simply a cement composition effective for elution reduction of hexavalent chromium.SOLUTION: A method for producing a cement composition is provided which includes a mixing step of mixing a cement clinker with a slurry comprising a sulfite, and then pulverizing the mixture to obtain the cement composition. In the mixing step, gypsum is mixed to obtain the cement composition.
