The engine 22 has a plurality of intake ports 76 that are paired in a V shape inside the plurality of cylinders 30 in a plan view, and a concave space 78 is formed between the plurality of intake ports 76. The cover 12 has, in the inside thereof, an intake path 64 for guiding air to the intake ports 76, and is provided with a muffler 80 for attenuating noise during air intake, at a position adjacent to the intake path 64 and entering the concave space 78.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】簡単な構成によってV型エンジンのエア音を抑制し、且つ船外機自体を可及的に小型化する。【解決手段】船外機10は、複数の気筒30が平面視でV字状に配列されるV型エンジン(エンジン22)と、エンジン22を覆うカバー12とを有する。エンジン22は、平面視で、複数の気筒30の内側においてV字状に対をなす複数の吸気ポート76を有すると共に、複数の吸気ポート76の間に凹空間78を形成している。カバー12は、吸気ポート76にエアを導く吸気経路64を内部に有し、且つ吸気経路64に隣接すると共に凹空間78に入り込む位置に、吸気時の音を減衰させる消音器80を備える。【選択図】図4
