Summary: | To provide an exhaust gas clarifying catalyst that is chemically stable and excellent in methane clarifying performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a catalyst material 30 to be used for clarifying methane. The catalyst material 30 includes a carrier 32 made of alumina and a catalyst 34 made of at least one of palladium and a palladium oxide and directly carried by the carrier 32. The carrier 32 has a specific surface area of 20 m2/g or more and 90 m2/g or less. In a preferable embodiment, Pd (100) and PdO (101) occupies 20% or more of the crystal plane of the catalyst 34 in the joint area between the catalyst 34 and the carrier 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】化学的に安定なメタンの浄化性能に優れた排ガス浄化用触媒を提供する。【解決手段】本発明によってメタンの浄化に用いられる触媒材料30が提供される。この触媒材料30は、アルミナからなる担体32と、担体32に直接担持されたパラジウムおよびパラジウム酸化物の少なくとも一つからなる触媒34と、を含む。そして担体32の比表面積は、20m2/g以上90m2/g以下である。好適な態様において、触媒34と担体32との接合面における触媒34の結晶面のうち、Pd(100)およびPdO(101)が占める割合は、20個数%以上である。【選択図】図1 |
