Summary:To provide a vehicle body structure capable of effectively improving the stiffness of a header panel cantilever-supported on a front end part of a roof panel.SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure includes a header panel 10 cantilever-supported on a front end part 60a of a roof panel 60. The header panel 10 is provided with a swelling part 12 swelling on the vehicle rear side at a central part in a vehicle width direction. The header panel includes: a lateral reinforcement 20 mounted on the vehicle upward side of the header panel 10 to stride the swelling part 12 in the vehicle width direction; a longitudinal reinforcement 30 mounted on the face on the vehicle upward side of the header panel 10 to reach a first junction part 51 at which the header panel 10 is cantilever-supported on the roof panel 60 and an end part on the vehicle rear side at the swelling part 12; and second junction parts 52 joined to each other at a position at which the lateral reinforcement 20 and the longitudinal reinforcement 30 cross.
