Summary: | To reduce unburnt ammonia by enhancing an ammonia combustion rate and reduce CO2.SOLUTION: A diesel engine comprises a combustion chamber and fuel feeding means which feeds fuel oil to be an ignition source and gassy ammonia into the combustion chamber so as to produce pre-mixed gas of the fuel oil and the gassy ammonia by the fuel feeding means and perform mixed combustion thereof in the combustion chamber. The diesel engine also has control means which controls: production of the pre-mixed gas of the fuel oil and the gassy ammonia so that an ammonia concentration is higher at an area near inner side wall surface than at a center of the combustion chamber in the combustion chamber; and an excess air ratio so that the same is higher when operating the diesel engine by combusting only the fuel oil than when operating the same by combusting the pre-mixed gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
【課題】アンモニアの燃焼率を高めて未燃アンモニアを減少させ、CO2削減を図る。【解決手段】燃焼室と、前記燃焼室内に点火源となる燃料油とガス状のアンモニアとを投入する燃料投入手段とを有し、前記燃料投入手段により前記燃焼室内でアンモニア予混合気を形成して混合燃焼させるディーゼルエンジンであって、前記燃焼室内で、前記燃焼室の中心部よりも前記燃焼室の内側側壁面側のアンモニア濃度が濃くなるようなアンモニア予混合気を形成するよう制御する制御手段を有すると共に、前記制御手段は、燃料油のみによる運転時の空気過剰率より低い空気過剰率となるように調整する。【選択図】図13 |
