Summary:To provide a power conversion device equipped with an electric railway active filter that reduces an amount of noise current flowing out to a feeder wire while avoiding the risk of disturbing a communication signal for vehicle control.SOLUTION: An electric railway active filter includes; a transformer equipped with a smoothing capacitor and connected to an input side of an inverter that drives a vehicle acceleration/deceleration motor; an arm circuit composed of a series circuit of a semiconductor switching elements; a harmonic filter circuit connected in series between the arm circuit and the transformer; and a first current sensor for detecting first current flowing through between the harmonic filter circuit and the transformer.
