Summary:To detect occurrence of polarity inversion accurately.SOLUTION: A rechargeable battery state detector for detecting the state of rechargeable battery includes input means (I/F10e) for inputting signals from a voltage detection part 11 for detecting the terminal voltage of the rechargeable battery and from a current detection part 12 for detecting a current flowing to the rechargeable battery, first determination means (CPU10a) for determining that the terminal voltage of the rechargeable battery is abnormal when it is less than a prescribed threshold level while the rechargeable battery is discharging, on the basis of a signal input from the input means, and second determination means (CPU10a) for determining whether polarity inversion has occurred on the basis of at least one of a change in the terminal voltage of the rechargeable battery and a change in the internal resistance, after stoppage of discharge, when the first determination means determined abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】転極の発生を正確に検出すること。【解決手段】充電可能電池の状態を検出する充電可能電池状態検出装置において、充電可能電池の端子電圧を検出する電圧検出部11および充電可能電池に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部12からの信号を入力する入力手段(I/F10e)と、入力手段から入力される信号に基づいて、充電可能電池が放電中である場合に、充電可能電池の端子電圧が所定の閾値未満であるときは異常であると判定する第1判定手段(CPU10a)と、第1判定手段によって異常と判定された場合、放電の停止後に、充電可能電池の端子電圧の変化および内部抵抗の変化の少なくとも一方に基づいて転極の発生の有無を判定する第2判定手段(CPU10a)と、を有すること。【選択図】図1
