To provide an operating device for a work machine, which gives an operator an appropriate feeling when operated.SOLUTION: A base portion 80 includes a plurality of first hole portions 83 having a first dimension. The base portion includes a plurality of second hole portions 84 having a second dimension different from the first dimension. An arrangement interval between two adjacent first hole portions 83 and an arrangement interval between two adjacent second hole portions 84 are different. A contact portion is in contact with the base portion 80. The contact portion is relatively movable with respect to the base portion 80 and can be selectively engaged with any one of the plurality of first hole portions 83 and the plurality of second hole portions 84. An urging portion acts on the contact portion with urging force in a direction to bring the contact portion into contact with the base portion 80.
