To provide a portable information apparatus capable of stably supporting a display.SOLUTION: A portable information apparatus 10 includes: a first casing member 12A; a second casing member 12B; a hinge mechanism 19; a display 16 having a rear surface 16a supported by front surfaces 18Ac, 18Bc of a first support plate 18A and a second support plate 18B; a positioning part 24 for positioning the surfaces with each other between mutually adjacent one edge parts 18Aa, 18Ba of the first support plate 18A and the second support plate 18B in a flat form; a first support part 40A for supporting the first support plate 18A to the first casing member 12A; and a second support part 40B for supporting the second support plate 18B to the second casing member 12B.
