Summary:To provide a technique capable of suppressing power consumption while maintaining a state where communication between a heater and an external device using a communication module can be executed.SOLUTION: A heater comprises: a main control unit that is connected to a power supply unit, and controls the operation of the heater; a communication module that is connected to the power supply unit, and can execute communication with an external device; and a switching unit that is arranged between the main control unit and the power supply unit, and can switch between a supply state in which power is supplied from power supply unit to the main control unit and a cut-off state in which power supply from the power supply unit to the main control unit is stopped.
